Ryan Timothy Gensler

Ryan graduated from Regis Jesuit High School and will be attending Notre Dame this fall. He plans on studying chemical engineering with an emphasis on bio molecular engineering. Ultimately, he will work towards becoming a physician scientist where he can utilize his education towards the prevention and treatment of brain disorders. In 2014, Ryan co-founded a nonprofit that educates teachers, school staff and parents on the effects of mental illness. Ryan enjoys his dog Maxie, playing guitar, working out and watching any type of sport.

Claire Leeann Greydanus

Claire graduated with honors from Colorado Academy in June of 2017. In high school, Claire discovered her passion for service and became involved with Horizons at CA, a non-profit organization that supports underprivileged students from Denver Public Schools in achieving academic and personal success. As Co-Founder and Co-President of the Horizons Club at CA, she appreciated the special connection she shared with the young Horizons students, and her volunteer work has inspired her to pursue service related opportunities in college. Claire is also a competitive and classically trained pianist, and she particularly enjoys sharing her music with others in solo and chamber group performance. Claire was an active member of CA’s specialty and chamber choirs, where she met many of her best friends in high school. As a freshman in the Honors Program at Boston College, she plans to pursue a major in Biochemistry and follow a pre-med track of study. Claire aspires to be a researching neurologist, and she is excited to join the medical research efforts that will revolutionize the way we understand the human brain.

2017_brice_leifheit

Brice Alvin Leifheit

Brice is a 2017 Eaglecrest High School graduate. He will be attending Community College of Aurora to earn his Associate Degree in the Sciences and then will transfer to a four year university to work towards a Genetic or Biomechanical Engineering degree. At age 7, Brice lost a leg to peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma-therefore, his professional interests lie in stem cell research and the advancement of creating prosthetics. In his high school Sci-Tech Club, Brice created a virtual prosthetic of his own design and passed his CSWA test for Mechanical Design. This hurdle has never stopped Brice from playing baseball, climbing, running, swimming and dreaming big!

2017_katherine_lundebjerg

Katherine D. Lundebjerg

Katherine graduated from Greeley Central High School in May of 2017. She enjoys swimming, music, volunteering, and reading. To continue her love of learning, she will be attending the University of Colorado to double major in Criminal Justice and English, and will be minoring in Film Studies. She plans on joining a club sport, a few clubs, and will continue to volunteer around Greeley and at UNC.
